I am glad I met such a special and amazing man, and had the chance to go to Spain with him. I remember walking out of the airport and Peter and Barbara being amongst everybody with a massive smile on their faces. Peter then drove us to his house listing everywhere we could go and pointing out places (whilst not concentrating on the road!). He made sure me and Myles were entertained every day and that our glasses were always full. If you take a can out of the fridge you have to put one back!! That will be in my head now for a very long time. Every day he made sure we had a timetable and that we always done something. He took us to all his favourite restaurants including Puccinis as that was his favourite. We would always come back from the evening out and play a game of Uno or cards which would always end in him falling asleep at the table!! 'We had a very nice time indeed' And that phrase will always put a smile on my face. Spain is where Myles and I got our nickname Mr and Mrs Messy as we would drive him made over the state of the bedroom and couldn't believe how many shoes 2 people could bring to one holiday! I am happy I had the chance to meet and spend all the time I did with Grandad Peter. We had a close relationship and he would always roll his eyes and tell me to go away whenever I walked in the room and said 'Hello Grandad'. Every day that I did spend with him, he would always make me laugh and say ‘what you laughing at’ and laugh to himself. I will miss our dart games with Team Grandad and Anna even if we did lose most of the time. He is a very special person and will be close to my heart as I always treated him as my own Grandad. I will never forget the memories I have had with him and I will always miss him. Goodnight Grandad, I will look after Myles as I know he will miss you so much. Lots of love Anna xxxxxxx
